Capacity. Capacities run from the original 7-round factory magazines (71900 black oxide, 71901 nickel) through 10-round black oxide and nickel, up to our 556-XT10 and 556-XT15 extended magazines for the Model 80, 780, 25, and 20. Higher capacity means fewer reloads; check your state's limit first (see below) before choosing the XT10 or XT15.

Finish. Black oxide and nickel-plated are the same steel magazine underneath. Pick whichever matches your rifle's barrel — black oxide for blued barrels, nickel if your rifle already runs nickel parts or you prefer the brighter finish.

.22 LR and .22 Mag Are Not Interchangeable

A .22 WMR or .17 HMR magazine will not fit a .22 LR magazine well. If your rifle is a magnum, shop .22 Mag magazines instead.

What About a Marlin Model 60?

The Model 60 and other tube-fed Marlin .22 LR rifles don't take a detachable box magazine. If that's your rifle, there's nothing on this page to buy.
