American Rifle Magazines builds factory-pattern magazines for Marlin rimfire rifles and the Remington 783, and this is the complete catalog of everything we make. Whether you're replacing a lost or worn magazine, stocking a gunsmith bench, or ordering for a shop, you're buying direct from the people who make the part.
How to Choose the Right Magazine
Three decisions get you to the correct magazine: caliber first, then capacity, then finish.
- Caliber. Confirm whether your rifle is chambered in .22 LR, .22 WMR/.17 HMR, or one of the Remington 783 centerfire calibers. A .22 WMR/.17 HMR magazine will not fit a .22 LR rifle, and a .22 LR magazine will not fit a .22 WMR/.17 HMR rifle — the magnum cartridge is longer and the magazine body is built around it.
- Capacity. Once caliber is confirmed, pick the round count that's legal where you live and matches how you shoot. Capacities across this catalog run from 3 and 4 rounds up to 15, depending on the platform.
- Finish. Black oxide and nickel plating are both steel and function identically in the rifle. The difference is corrosion resistance and which one matches your barrel's finish.

Confirm Fitment Before You Order
Every magazine description on this site lists the exact models it fits. Read the model number stamped on the left side of your barrel, then match it to that list. If you own a Marlin Model 60 or another tube-fed .22, it is tube-fed — no detachable magazine to buy. Frequently Asked Questions
Are these OEM factory magazines, or aftermarket copies?
They're factory-pattern magazines we manufacture in the USA from U.S. steel and U.S.-made components — not an imported copy. For the Marlin 795, for example, that includes both the original 7-round 71900/71901 and our 10-round factory-pattern magazine; we don't call the 10-round "aftermarket," because it's built to the same factory pattern.
What if my rifle is a Marlin Model 60?
The Model 60 and other tube-fed Marlin .22s don't take a detachable box magazine, so we don't have one to sell you for that rifle.

Is a rifle magazine the same as a clip?
Not technically. A magazine has a spring and follower that feeds ammunition into the rifle; a clip is a simple strip or frame that holds rounds and is used to load a magazine (or, on older rifles, load the rifle directly). In everyday conversation people often say clip when they mean magazine, and every product on this page is a magazine, not a stripper clip.
Are rifle magazines universal across brands?
No. Magazine body dimensions, feed lips, and latch geometry are specific to the rifle platform they were designed for. A Marlin magazine will not fit a Remington 783, and a 783 magazine will not fit a Marlin. Always match the magazine to your exact rifle brand, model, and caliber — see our fitment guides if you're not sure.
