Rob Haversat — Founder, American Rifle Magazines
Rob Haversat has spent more than three decades in American manufacturing — and that’s the whole reason American Rifle Magazines exists.
Before founding ARM, Rob built U.S. manufacturing businesses from the factory floor up. He began at Sargent Manufacturing in New Haven, Connecticut — one of the country’s foremost makers of architectural hardware — co-founded Versat Group LLC in 1999, and in 2005 acquired Pioneer Industries, a New Jersey manufacturer of commercial steel doors and frames, which he ran until 2012. Today he is President and Owner of G&R Manufacturing in Naugatuck, Connecticut — the machine shop behind American Rifle Magazines.
That background is the point. ARM was founded on a simple conviction: replacement magazines for classic Marlin and Remington rifles should be made in America, to original factory specifications, by people who actually understand how these rifles feed. ARM is not an importer or a reseller of overseas parts — every magazine is engineered, tooled, and finished in the U.S. from American steel and components, in Rob’s own Naugatuck shop.
Because Rob comes from tooling and production rather than retail, ARM’s magazines are built to the tolerances that matter — correct feed-lip geometry, proper spring pressure, and the exact fit that keeps an older Marlin Model 60 or Remington 783 running the way it did off the shelf. When a customer isn’t sure which magazine fits a pre-1996 vs. post-1996 Marlin, or a rebadged Glenfield or Western Auto rifle, that answer comes from someone who has actually machined the part.
